Focus groups
Description: Focus groups are semi-structured discussions, taking the form of a workshop, with the goal of getting feedbacks from a small group of participants on a specific topic of interest. Participants answer to various open or closed questions and confront their arguments.
Process:
- Preparation: Framing the topic and selecting/inviting the participants;
- Implementation: introducing the goal and agenda of the focus groups; moderated discussion on the various questions to be addressed during the focus group; Summarising the main aspects of the discussion and explaining the next steps to the participants;
- Documentation
Results: Provide the organisers (researchers or decision-makers) with a detailed idea of the concerns of a given community, generally taking the form of a report
