Although climate migration implies a huge wave of human movement, it is also historically observed that in general male members of the affected societies are more inclined to migrate than females and other vulnerable groups. The migration policies of target countries should be accordingly adjusted to provide equal opportunity to the left-behind women and vulnerable groups.
