Help us make democracy stronger

Welcome to the forefront of change, where feminism meets environmentalism. We're thrilled to invite you to our groundbreaking Feminist Festival, a pivotal event within the REAL DEAL project, aimed at amplifying the voices and experiences of people within the European Union.

Why It matters

At the heart of our festival lies a powerful mission: to reimagine the landscape of EU policy through the lens of ecofeminism. We refuse to accept the status quo, where the voices of people from marginalised groups are silenced amidst the urgency of the climate crisis. Instead, we champion a bold approach that acknowledges the interconnectedness of systems of oppressions in shaping our environmental reality. It's time to listen, learn, and act.

What we will discuss

Prepare to be inspired and engaged as we dive into four key topics: gender equality & climate, environmental racism, climate migration, and energy poverty. We're flipping the script on traditional policy briefs, transforming recommendations into powerful works of art and activism. Our aim is clear: to create a brave space for discussions and we will explore how to ensure EU policymakers hear our demands for change.

Who is behind this initiative?

Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) and the European Environmental Bureau (EEB), as part of the REAL DEAL consortium, are proud to invite you to this event. Together, we're paving the way for a more just and sustainable future, one where the voices of the oppressed are elevated, not silenced.

It's time to come together, raise our voices, and carve out a future that's truly equitable and sustainable for all.

Together, we will create recommendations to shape EU’s Feminist Green Transition, join and help us make democracy stronger.

Qué se decide Recommendations for a Feminist Green Transition
Quién participa We've meticulously selected a diverse cohort of 100 participants, each representing a mosaic of backgrounds and perspectives. From all corners of Europe, our attendees are united by a shared curiosity about the intersection of feminism and the Green Transition. We've deliberately sought out citizens who may be new to EU processes, ensuring fresh perspectives and untapped potential for change.
Cómo se decide Before the event: through online discussions. During the event: through discussions. Post event: we will have a follow-up call to agree on the cleaned recommendations.
